Liz Donehue grew up in Seattle where she realized she wanted to do more with her Creative Writing degree than sleep on her mom's couch and watch reruns of Ghost Adventures. One year after stepping on stage for the first time, Liz was a finalist in the "Funniest Person in the Twin Cities" contest for her sharp and percipient humor. Her edgy and assertive style has earned her opening spots for comics such as Chad Daniels, Rich Vos, Vir Das, Learnmore Jonasi, and more. She’s not afraid to tackle life’s sensitive subjects, all the way from sobriety to guns.

When Liz relocated to the Czech Republic in 2017, it made her act even stronger. The Brno Daily reviewed one of her performances as "a high-octane blow-by-blow account of her chaotic life in a crazy world, complete with tall (scary) tales of US life.” During the pandemic, Liz also hosted the hugely popular “The Most Dangerous Gameshow” which featured comedians participating in a Jeopardy!-style trivia show with an unsettling macabre flair.

She recently returned to the US and is calling the great state of North Carolina her new home. Liz is a regular at Goodnights Comedy Club and has headlined Don’t Tell comedy shows throughout the area.
